Ashley Judd is a Hollywood Hero

Ashley Judd is honored at USA Today‘s Hollywood Hero Award Gala on Monday (November 10) held at the Montage Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 41-year-old actress, who serves as a Global Ambassador for YouthAIDS, was named this year’s Hollywood Hero. The yearly award recognizes an exceptional entertainment industry humanitarian.

“I’m just the front woman,” Ashley said. “I was just lucky that this wonderful organization was put in my lap and I had the opportunity to be involved with them.”

Mandy Moore also started working with the organization but confessed that she was so nervous to meet Ashley on Monday. “I was a fumbling geek when I met her!” Mandy said. “She’s so inspiring. I’d like to follow in her footsteps.”
