Alicia Vikander Wins Best Supporting Actress at Oscars 2016!
Alicia Vikander won the award for Best Supporting Actress at the 2016 Academy Awards held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 28) in Hollywood.
The 27-year-old actress won the award for her work in the movie The Danish Girl.
Alicia beat out The Hateful Eight‘s Jennifer Jason Leigh, Carol‘s Rooney Mara, Spotlight‘s Rachel McAdams, and Steve Jobs‘ Kate Winslet for the award.
Alicia previously won the SAG Award for her work in The Danish Girl, but she was nominated in the leading actress category at the Golden Globes and lost out on that award.
On the red carpet, Alicia showed up in a Louis Vuitton dress that had everyone comparing her to Belle from Beauty and the Beast!
