Oscars Nominations 2020 - Biggest Snubs Revealed

The 2020 Oscars nominations were just revealed and there were some major snubs.

While so many deserving stars were nominated this year, there were some major names that didn’t make the list and fans are deservedly very upset.

Female Directors

There were no female directors nominated and many were hopeful including Greta Gerwig (Little Women) Lulu Wang (The Farewell), Lorene Scafaria (Hustlers), Marielle Heller (Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood), Alma Har’el (Honey Boy) and Olivia Wilde (Booksmart).

Adam Sandler

Adam Sandler gives a critically acclaimed performance in Uncut Gems, but wasn’t nominated for his work in the film. The film didn’t get any attention at all.

Robert De Niro

Robert De Niro was not nominated for his work in The Irishman, despite critical acclaim for his work in the film.

Jennifer Lopez

Despite getting a nomination for Hustlers for the Golden Globes and SAG Awards, JLo was left off the Oscars list completely.

Awkwafina

Awkwafina was not nominated for The Farewell, despite winning a Golden Globe for her performance.

Beyonce

Beyonce‘s song “Spirit” from the Lion King was left out of the Best Original Songs nominees!

Taron Egerton

Taron won the Golden Globe for his work in Rocketman, but wasn’t nominated for an Oscar.

Christian Bale

Christian Bale is often considered an Oscar favorite, but this year, he wasn’t recognized for his work in Ford v Ferrari.

Lupita Nyong’o

Lupita gives a stellar performance in Us, but she wasn’t recognized by the Academy this year.

Frozen 2

Frozen 2 was not given any love in the Best Animated Film category.
