Sharon Stone Asks for Prayers After Mom Dorothy Suffers 'Another' Stroke

Sharon Stone is sharing an upsetting health update.

On Monday (November 22), the 63-year-old Basic Instinct actress took to social media to reveal that her mom, Dorothy, has suffered “another acute” stroke.

“Say a prayer for Dorothy Marie Stone, my mom, who has suffered another acute stroke tonight. Thx 🙏🏻🤍” Sharon wrote on Instagram along with a photo of Dorothy.

According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information of the National Institutes of Health, acute strokes “result in loss of blood flow, nutrients and oxygen to a region of the brain, resulting in neuronal damage and subsequent neurological deficits.”

Sharon has not disclosed how many strokes her mother has had, but she did reveal back in 2019 that her mom and grandmother have suffered strokes in the past. Sharon also had a near-fatal stroke back in 2001.
