In the first two minutes of the premiere, Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte are talking to longtime friend Bitsy Von Muffling at a restaurant, who asks the girls where Samantha is.
The ladies have an awkward time trying to explain Samantha’s absence, with Miranda explaining that Samantha isn’t dead before Carrie jumps in and says Samantha’s in London.
“She moved to the UK…for work,” Miranda adds.
Later in the episode, while Carrie and Miranda are talking, Carrie says that because of how the book business is going, she couldn’t keep Samantha on as her publicist.
“She said fine, then fired me as a friend,” Carrie says.
Miranda sticks up for Samantha, saying that her “pride got damaged,” but Carrie is still hurt that Samantha never returned her calls and picked up and took a job in London.
If you missed it, Chris Noth (aka Mr. Big) recently defended Sarah Jessica Parker amid her off-screen feud with Kim Cattrall.
