Deadline Reports Jean-Marc Vallée's Possible Cause of Death

Jean-Marc Vallée died suddenly over the weekend and now, Deadline is reporting some additional information.
The Canadian director, producer, and writer suddenly passed away at the age of 58 at his cabin outside Quebec City.

Deadline is now reporting that sources are telling them that Jean-Marc passed away from a possible heart attack. The heart attack allegedly struck as he “was preparing to receive guests the following day,” meaning perhaps he died on Christmas Day. This cause of death is not official, but we will update with more news as it is released.
He was apparently known as a fitness buff and practiced the Wim Hof Method, which, according to their website, “is built on three pillars: breathing exercises, meditation, and exposure to cold. Together, these pillars provide you with the means to control your body.”
Jean-Marc is best known for directing and Dallas Buyers Club, which earned him an Oscar nomination. He also directed the first season of Big Little Lies, which earned him an Emmy Award and DGA Award.
Jean-Marc also directed the movie of adaption of Wild, starring Reese Witherspoon, and the HBO miniseries Sharp Objects, starring Amy Adams and Patricia Clarkson.
