Jamie Lynn Spears has published the text of an alleged text message sent to her by her older sister Britney Spears. The authenticity of the text has not been verified at this time, as it was published in Jamie Lynn‘s book, “Things I Should Have Said.”

In the memoir, Jamie Lynn writes, “In a recent text from my sister, she stated herself: ‘I know it’s not your fault and I’m sorry for being so angry at you. Although I’m your big sister, I need you more than you need me and always have.’”

“I pray for the day she shares these words with the world,” she added. “I have no control over anything the media reports and cannot be held responsible for something I have absolutely no control over.”

Jamie Lynn and Britney have been publicly going back and forth over Britney’s recently ended conservatorship. The most recent public communication was an open letter Britney wrote expressing sadness. Britney also expressed displeasure at a story Jamie Lynn published in her book.
