Olivia Colman Cast in Lead Role in FX & BBC's 'Great Expectations' Limited Series

Olivia Colman has landed her next leading role!

The 48-year-old Oscar-winning actress has joined the cast of FX and BBC’s upcoming limited series, Great Expectations.

The upcoming limited series is based on Charles Dickens‘ novel of the same name, which tells the coming of age story of orphan boy Philip “Pip” Pirrip, according to Variety.

Olivia will star as Miss Havisham alongside Fionn Whitehead as Pip, Ashley Thomas as Jaggers, Johnny Harris as Masgwitch, Shalom Brune-Franklin as Estella, Hayley Squires as Sara, Owen McDonnell as Joe, Trystan Gravelle as Compeyson, and Matt Berry as Mr. Pumblechuck.

Steven Knight is writing and executive producing Great Expectations with Lucy Forbes serving as the lead director.
