Queen Elizabeth Skips Virtual Engagement While Battling Coronavirus

Queen Elizabeth is continuing to rest.

The 95-year-old monarch, who tested positive for coronavirus, is missing out on a virtual engagement on Tuesday (February 22), Buckingham Palace announced, via ET Canada.

She is still experiencing mild cold-like symptoms after testing positive for the virus, a spokesman said.

The announcement of her diagnosis came on Sunday (February 20). She was expected to continue to partake in light duties.

She sent a virtual message of condolence to Brazil on Monday (February 21) to say she was saddened by recent fatal floods.

Queen Elizabeth will now decide closer to the events whether to move forward with engagements, including her weekly conversation with Prime Minister Boris Johnson.
