Buckingham Palace Releases Short Statement After Queen Elizabeth Death Hoax

Buckingham Palace released a short statement on Wednesday (February 23), just hours after a major death hoax spread across the Internet.

A Hollywood blog claimed that the Queen had passed away, but this is untrue and she’s still recovering from COVID-19 at the Palace.

The Palace did not comment on the false report, but they did confirm her Wednesday plans to the press: “Her Majesty did speak to the Prime Minister [Boris Johnson] this evening.”

The Queen was allegedly supposed to meet with the Prime Minster in person, but due to her COVID diagnosis, it was changed to a virtual meeting.
