Here's Why 'Top Gun 3' Isn't Being Planned Right Now

Top Gun: Maverick was one of the biggest movies of 2022 and fans have been wondering if another film in the franchise would be on the way due to its massive success.

Well, an update was just given by the film’s producer Jerry Bruckheimer and don’t get your hopes up…yet!

When asked by Variety if there had been talks about a third film in the franchise, Jerry explained that he had not yet spoken to star Tom Cruise about the possibility of another Top Gun movie. Why? Well, Tom is currently filming the latest Mission: Impossible installment.

Jerry told Variety, “He’s in the middle of shooting Mission Impossible, he’s got a lot of very difficult, hard stunts he’s doing. It’s not the time to take attention away from what’s important to him right now.”
