When Is Aaron Rodgers Returning as Jets Quarterback? Injury Timeline Revealed

Many fans might be watching the New York Jets football game against the Kansas City Chiefs right now and a big question on minds might be, where is Aaron Rodgers and when might he be returning as the starting quarterback.

Achilles tendon injuries tend to require a lot of rehabilitation. Aaron underwent surgery a few days with surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache.

When asked about his injury timeline, and how he possible could not return this season, Aaron said on The Pat McAfee show, “Give me the doubts, give me the timetables, give me all the things that you think can, should or will happen, because all I need is that one little extra percent of inspiration. That’s all I need. So give me your doubts, give me your prognostications and then watch what I do.”

A source told ESPN it’s “not out of the question” that Aaron could come back, depending on how his rehab goes. The Jets are currently 1-2, and if they don’t start winning games, it might look unlikely that they’ll make the January 2024 playoffs.

For some context, the late NBA star Kobe Bryant tore his Achilles during the 2013 season and it took 8 months of rehab for him to return. NBA superstar Kevin Durant tore his Achilles in June 2019 and did not return until December 2020.
