The American rock band’s music video for their 1993 Use Your Illusion II track cost a small fortune.

Directed by Andy Morahan, the third part of a series of videos following “Don’t Cry” and “November Rain” cost an estimated $4 million, and had scenes shot at Olympiastadion in Munich, Germany.

5. Michael Jackson, “Black or White”
Cost: $4 million ($7.6 million with inflation) (via Forbes)

The 11-minute John Landis-directed music video broke records for viewership upon its premiere in 1991 (an estimated 500 million people tuned in on TV), who also directed “Thriller.”

It also featured a ton of stars – including Macaulay Culkin and Tyra Banks – and even garnered some controversy with its final few minutes, which featured the then-racy “Panther Dance,” including crotch crabbing and pants zipping, as well as some violent window smashing and car destroying.
