Demi Lovato Talks Serving as Executive Producer On ‘Camp Rock 3,’ Gushes Over the Young Stars

Demi Lovato is dishing on the upcoming Camp Rock 3!

The 33-year-old “Sorry to Myself” singer and actress will serve as an executive producer on the new threequel, which just wrapped filming.

During an appearance on SiriusXM Hits 1 LA, which will air on Wednesday (November 5), she opened up about returning to the Disney franchise behind-the-scenes.

“It feels really cool to be behind the camera. You know, I actually was behind the camera on my last project, that film project that I did, which was Child Star. So like taking a backseat, not a backseat because I co-directed it, and now I’m producing it, taking like a different approach to film and television has been really exciting to me,” Demi told hosts Symon and Tony Fly.

She also gushed about the talent of the young stars of the movie.

“I can’t wait to see the new generation step into these shoes of like, you know, bringing so many people, so much joy,” Demi said. “They’re so talented, the cast and I can’t wait for them to be, you know, as iconic as the first two.”

Nearly two weeks after filming began in Vancouver, Canada, Demi was spotted on set, sparking speculation of her appearing on screen, though her return as Mitchie Torres has not been announced.

She also talked about reuniting on stage with the Jonas Brothers, and how that came about.

“You know, I don’t think there was like a specific phone call that happened. But, you know, getting the call that was like, ‘Do you wanna be a part of this?’ was like, it was more of a text message actually, but I was like, ‘Yeah, that sounds fun and nostalgic for so many people.'” Demi said. “And then we got to do the performance together and that was really cool. I think it brought a lot of joy to a lot of people and that’s what it’s all about.”
