Macaulay Culkin Reveals His Idea For a New ‘Home Alone’ Movie, Reprising His Role as Kevin McCallister
Macaulay Culkin is showing interest in returning to a beloved childhood role!
The 45-year-old actor starred as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, and recently shared that he is not opposed to reprising the role.
While appearing on stage for one of his “A Nostalgic Night with Macaulay Culkin” tour, the actor revealed an idea he has to star in a third movie as an adult.

Per Variety, Macaulay says he “wouldn’t be completely allergic” to returning, but the idea “would have to be just right.”
He then revealed his own thoughts on a third movie for himself.
“I kind of had this idea,” he shared. “I’m either a widower or a divorcee. I’m raising a kid and all that stuff. I’m working really hard and I’m not really paying enough attention and the kid is kind of getting miffed at me and then I get locked out. [Kevin’s son] won’t let me in… and he’s the one setting traps for me.”
Instead of the robbers like in past iterations, it would be Kevin battling his own son, where “the house is some sort of metaphor for our relationship,” and his character has to “get let back into son’s heart’ kind of deal. That’s the closest elevator pitch that I have. I’m not completely allergic to it, the right thing.”
If you didn’t know, the Home Alone franchise has seen four other movies without Macaulay and the original director Chris Columbus, including the most recent Home Sweet Home Alone, which debuted on Disney+ in 2021.
