Maya Hawke’s Age While Filming: Reports indicate season 5 filmed from January – December of 2024. This would have made Maya 25 years old for half of filming and 26 years old for the back half. Her birthday is in July.

*This is less clear, as Robin never says how old she is, but fans believe she is similarly aged to the “older” teens.

Joe Keery

Character’s Age: Thought to Be Around 21-22*
Joe Keery’s Age While Filming: Reports indicate season 5 filmed from January – December of 2024. This would have made Joe 32 years old during most of 2024, as his birthday is in April.

*Season”¯1 starts in 1983. Steve is portrayed as an older high school student, so it’s guessed that he’s around 17–18 years old then. By season”¯5 (set around 1987), about four years have passed, so Steve would be approximately 21–22 years old in-universe.
