Julianne Nicholson was a series regular for her role as Sinatra. She was previously seen in shows like The Outsider, Mare of Easttown, and Masters of Sex, plus movies like Janet Planet, Dream Scenario, and Blonde.
In the season two finale, her character is killed off while saving the bunker’s population and sacrificing herself in an explosion.
Series creator Dan Fogelman says that we’ll possibly see Julianne back in season three, likely in flashbacks.
“It’s definitely a possibility. On my last batch of shows I’ve tried to never firmly say goodbye to a character because of the way we play in time. That’s not even about ALEX — it’s simply about the way we tell stories. It would not be surprising to me to see Julianne more,” he told Los Angeles Times.

Series creator Dan Fogelman previously told EW, “I have had roles for him in mind both in the second and third season as a way that he can play a part in the story.”
