Lady Gaga posted such a sweet photo of her having a moment with Selena Gomez backstage at the 2016 American Music Awards.

“So dope I got to hang with with the biggest rockstar of the night. (Ya,know besides Sting and Green Day) …the girl with the biggest prize of all a BIG Heart that she shares with the world,” the 30-year-old entertainer wrote on her Instagram.

Selena gave an extremely emotional acceptance speech after winning the award for Favorite Female Artist – Pop/Rock. When Selena won, Gaga had a supportive and happy reaction!

Selena had been on a break from the spotlight for several months, and her appearance at the AMAs was her first public outing in a while.

DJ Khaled took the stage with Nicki Minaj, August Alsina, Future and Rick Ross to perform “Do You Mind” at the 2016 American Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (November 20) in Los Angeles.

This was the first performance at the AMAs for DJ Khaled, August, Future and Rick Ross! Nicki has performed at the show several times, and also performed with Ariana Grande that same evening. Be sure to watch their performance of “Side By Side” if you missed it!

Kylie Jenner skipped the 2016 American Music Awards this year – but for a very good reason!

The 19-year-old reality star and business woman announced that her dog Bambi was in labor – and her other dog Norman was the dad!

“For those asking.. I was planning on going to AMA this year but Bambi went into labor 😩 so I’m here taking care of puppies,” Kylie tweeted.

After announcing the news, Kylie received some criticism over breeding her dogs. “I just wasn’t planning on breeding my dogs. It only takes one time people,” Kylie wrote on her Twitter account.

Gigi Hadid wore so many chic looks while on stage hosting the 2016 American Music Awards!

The big show took place on Sunday (November 20) live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. At the beginning of the night, Gigi wore a stunning Roberto Cavalli look on the red carpet. She proceeded to change into five additional outfits – all of which you can see below!

Sting was honored at the 2016 American Music Awards and he took to the stage at the show to perform a medley of his hits before accepting the award.

The 65-year-old entertainer was presented with the American Music Award of Merit during the event held at the Microsoft Theatre on Sunday (November 20) in Los Angeles.

“I’m deeply moved by this extravagant gesture, and it’s important for me as a musical migrant to acknowledge the very real debt I already owe to American music because after all American music that lit the musical spark in my mind, this uniquely American experiment by perhaps America’s greatest and most influential export, rock and roll,” Sting said during his speech.

“A giant musical jam session where the doors are always open, open to all comers, and the spirit of welcome and inclusion, the mixing of culture, rhythm and passion is what made this country the greatest country in the world,” he added. “While I may be an Englishman in New York, I promise you that my musical soul is all American.”

Lady Gaga pours her heart and soul into her performance of “Million Reasons” at the 2016 American Music Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (November 20) in Los Angeles.

The 30-year-old entertainer performed on the guitar while going barefoot in the heartfelt performance.

Gaga‘s American Horror Story co-star Matt Bomer introduced her performance, saying, “Working with this woman, I’ve gotten to see how passionate she is about the things that truly matter. And this performance is just one more example of how her words and music reflect and capture the most powerful of our emotions.”
