Serena Williams looks sleek and sexy while on stage at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards held at Madison Square Garden on Sunday (August 28) in New York City.

The 34-year-old tennis star introduced Beyonce‘s amazing performance on stage that evening! Be sure to watch Beyonce‘s full performance video if you missed it.

The 28-year-old singer was the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award recipient at the show, held on Sunday (August 28) at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Rihanna kicked off the night by performing “We Found Love” and “Where Have You Been” for the first performance. She then did a dance hall routine for “Rude Boy,” “What’s My Name,” and “Work.” For the third performance, she gave the crowd a taste of “Needed Me” and “Bitch Better Have My Money.” She closed out the night by proving her vocal power with songs like “Stay,” “Diamonds,” and “Love on the Brain.”

The Final Five – Aly Raisman, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian, and Simone Biles (minus fellow Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas – pose for a photo with Kim Kardashian backstage at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards held at Madison Square Garden on Sunday (August 28) in New York City.

The Final Five Olympic gymnasts also met up with Ariana Grande and Beyonce, who they presented to on stage during the big show.

The 28-year-old singer used her final time on stage to show off her vocal power with songs like “Stay,” “Diamonds,” and the current single.

Rihanna took to the stage for four performances throughout the evening to celebrate her Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

The 28-year-old singer received the award from her rumored boyfriend Drake, who gave a super sweet speech and even professed his love for her during it!

“My success is not my own. It’s my family’s. It’s my fans’. It’s my country’s,” Rihanna said while giving a shout out to Barbados in her speech. She mentioned how she still has the same friends as she did back at home and they followed her to the states. Watch the full video below!

Beyonce changes up her look to accept two different awards on stage at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards held at Madison Square Garden on Sunday (August 28) in New York City.
