The Real Reasons Why Abby Huntsman Quit 'The View' Reportedly Revealed

The View hasn’t been without controversy over the years, it appears as if one of the show’s most recently departed co-hosts, Abby Huntsman, left over a reported toxicity.

In the new book, “Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of The View” by Ramin Setoodeh, we learned about the conversations Abby had with producers.

Abby, who had spent just over a year on The View, reached her decision after multiple conversations with ABC executives about the toxicity at the root of the show,” an excerpt from the book read (via Us Weekly). “When they didn’t respond to her, she told them that she’d like to move on, according to sources with knowledge of those conversations. Abby didn’t think that anyone at ABC was looking out for her.”

Abby announced her decision to leave the show earlier this year, and this is the reason she gave at the time.

Abby Huntsman Is Leaving 'The View'

Abby Huntsman will no longer co-host The View.

“We thank Abby for her unique, intelligent, insightful and relatable voice that she brought to the show both in front of and behind the camera,” producers Hilary Estey McLoughlin, Candi Carter and Brian Teta said in a note to show staffers (via Variety). “We will truly miss her and her great spirit professionally and personally.”

The reason for Abby‘s departure is so she can help her father, Jon Huntsman, with his run for Governor in Utah.

It’s unclear when Abby will be officially exiting the show.

Abby hasn’t been on the show for too long, so her exit may come as a surprise to some!

The View's Abby Huntsman Welcomes Twins Ruby & William

The View co-host Abby Huntsman and her husband Jeffrey Livingston welcomed twins!

The 33-year-old co-host shared the special news that they welcomed their newborn babies, Ruby Kate and son William Jeffrey, on Wednesday (June 5).

Ruby came first at 5 lbs., 12 oz. She is a sweet, very calm baby,” Abby told People. “William is 5 lbs., 4 oz., and came into the world wide-eyed and ready to raise havoc. Both babies are long like their parents — 19 inches.”

The parents are also parents to 18-month-old daughter Isabel Grace.

'The View' Co-Host Abby Huntsman is Expecting Twins!

Abby Huntsman is ringing in 2019 with some exciting news!

The 32-year-old The View co-host revealed on the show on Wednesday (January 2) that she and husband Jeffrey Livingston are expecting twins – a boy and a girl. The two are already parents to 13-month-old daughter Isabel Grace.

Abby also shared that when Jeffrey found out they were having twins, he passed out!

“I think he saw two sacs in there and I could see it on his face. He turned white, and then when the doctor told us, he fell. Another doctor had to come in, and they were wiping him down with towels and giving him sugar,” Abby shared. “I was sitting there with my feet still in the straps. I’m like, ‘This is ridiculous. I’m the one that has to physically do this.’“

Abby added: “It was just one of those things like out of a movie, but I get it…[As] a dad, I think he’s thinking about the costs of everything and the logistics. Now we’re so excited.”

Ashley Greene to Play Abby Huntsman in Roger Ailes Movie

Ashley Greene has landed a role in the star-studded movie about former Fox News boss Roger Ailes!

The 31-year-old actress will be playing the role of former Fox & Friends host Abby Huntsman, Deadline reports. Abby left the Fox News show earlier this year to join The View.

“IM SO EXCITED to finally be able to announce this. I’m honored to be a part of this incredible film! ❤️,” Ashley wrote on her Instagram account.

John Lithgow will be playing Ailes with Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson, Charlize Theron as Megyn Kelly, Margot Robbie as producer Kayla Pospisil, and Allison Janney as lawyer Susan Estrich.

Other actors in the cast include Kate McKinnon, Mark Duplass, Alice Eve, and Elisabeth Rohm. The film will be directed by Jay Roach.

'The View' Adds Fox News' Abby Huntsman as Co-Host

The View is adding Fox News’ Abby Huntsman to the lineup for the 2018-2019 season.

The 32-year-old former Fox News co-host will officially sit besides fellow co-hosts including moderator Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin and Meghan McCain.

Abby previously appeared as a co-host on Fox & Friends Weekend and will begin her stint on The View on September 4.

Sara Haines is leaving the show and her final appearance will be on September 3. Sara will next appear as a co-host for GMA Day with Michael Strahan.
