Broadway actors are known for being supportive of each other and feuds in the community are rare, so James Corden decided to try and start some at the 2019 Tony Awards on Sunday (June 9) at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

The host asked actors to stand up and air out their grievances with each other live on television.

After the first two “feuds” ended in the actors making up immediately, Audra McDonald stood up to say she saw Laura Linney in the audience at her play last night, giving her the finger.

Instead of apologizing for it, Laura just said, “Yeah, that was me,” with a hilarious deadpan. The two stars then jokingly got into a physical fight in the front row. See some funny GIFs below!

Michael Shannon happily poses alongside his co-star Audra McDonald while attending the opening night after party for their play Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune held at Brasserie 8.5 restaurant on Wednesday (May 29) in New York City.

The 44-year-old actor and the 48-year-old actress take the lead in new Broadway production of Terrence McNally‘s play, directed by Obie Award winner Arin Arbus, who were both in attendance at the event.

Audra was also accompanied by her husband Will Swenson who stepped out to show his support.

Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune tells the story of a lonely waitress and a short order cook whose first date turns into a one-night stand – and maybe more.

Good news for fans of The Good Fight!

The series has been renewed for a fourth season at CBS All Access, the network announced on Tuesday (April 23).

The show “continues to be a flagship original series for the service,” said Julie McNamara, executive vice president of original content at CBS All Access. “Its visionary creators Robert and Michelle King and the extraordinary cast continue to explore the cultural climate with insight, humor and courage, and we can’t wait to see where these indelible characters go next.”

The legal drama is currently streaming season three, in which Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) is trying “to figure out whether you can resist a crazy administration without going crazy yourself, while Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo) and Liz Reddick-Lawrence (Audra McDonald) struggle with a new post-factual world where the lawyer who tells the best story triumphs over the lawyer with the best facts.”

Meanwhile, Lucca Quinn (Cush Jumbo) “balances her new baby with a new love, and Maia Rindell (Rose Leslie) finds a new Mephistopheles in Roland Blum (Michael Sheen), a lawyer who is corruption incarnate.”

The Good Fight, a spin-off of The Good Wife, also stars Sarah Steele, Michael Boatman, and Nyambi Nyambi.

Some fun mommy-daughter bonding time!

Uma Thurman was accompanied by her 20-year-old daughter Maya Hawke at the 2019 Williamstown Theatre Festival Gala held at the 583 Park Avenue party space on Monday (February 11) in New York City.

Uma and Maya were also joined at the event by Audra McDonald, Omar Metwally, Becky Ann Baker and her husband Dylan Baker.

Uma is set to step onto the Main Stage in a new translation of Ibsen’s Ghosts from Paul Walsh, according to Playbill. Carey Perloff will direct the staging, running July 31 through August 18.

Anna Paquin is all smiles as she and husband Stephen Moyer promote their new show Flack at the 2019 Winter TCA Tour on Wednesday (January 30) in Pasadena, Calif.

Later in the day, Christine Baranski, Audra McDonald, and Michael Sheen stopped by the event to chat about season three of their legal drama The Good Fight.

Audra McDonald and Michael Shannon are set to star in a new Broadway production of the Terrence McNally play Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.

The limited engagement will begin performances in May 2019 at a Shubert theater to be announced and the run will last 16 weeks.

The play, to be directed by Arin Arbus, is a “portrait of a lonely waitress and a short order cook whose first date turns into a one-night stand – and maybe more.”

Audra is a six-time Tony Award winner and a Broadway legend. Michael most recently starred on Broadway in A Long Day’s Journey into Night.

Emma Thompson suited up for the premiere of The Children Act!

The 59-year-old actress hit the red carpet at the event on Tuesday night (September 11) at Walter Reade Theater in New York City.

She was joined at the premiere by her co-star Fionn Whitehead as well as writer Ian McEwan and producer Duncan Kenworthy.

Other attendees included Diane Sawyer and Audra McDonald.

The film follows a judge who takes on a case involving a teenage boy who is refusing a blood transfusion on religious principle.

The Children Act hits theaters on September 14th and is available now on DIRECTV.
