Chris Soles has entered a conditional guilty plea in his April 2017 car accident case that left a man dead.
According to court documents obtained by People, the 37-year-old The Bachelor alum has “entered a plea of guilty to the crime of: Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Serious Injury, an aggravated misdemeanor.”
Chris entered the guilty plea on Tuesday (November 13) in the Iowa’s Buchanan County – where the accident occurred – to one count of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, which would be considered an aggravated misdemeanor.
According to the Iowa District Court, the aggravated misdemeanor charge “carries a maximum penalty of imprisonment of not more than two (2) years and/or by a fine of not more than six thousand two hundred and fifty dollars ($6,250.00) and a minimum penalty of a fine of six hundred twenty-five dollars ($625.00) along with a suspended jail sentence or a deferred judgment.”
Back in April 2017, Chris was arrested after hitting a John Deere tractor trailer with his truck, killing the driver, and then fleeing the scene before police arrived.
Chris‘ sentencing is set for January 8, 2019.
