'Inside Out 2' Rumored for D23 Announcement - One Star Returning, Two Actors Not Coming Back

Disney is reportedly getting ready to announce that a sequel to the beloved Pixar movie Inside Out is on the way, but there are some cast members who will reportedly not return.

The 2015 movie grossed $858 million worldwide and won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. It even received a nomination for Best Original Screenplay and was named one of the ten best films of the year by the National Board of Review.

Back in 2016, the president of Pixar explained why a sequel to Inside Out wouldn’t happen anytime soon.

“Most studios jump on doing a sequel as soon as they have a successful film, but our business model is a filmmaker model, and we don’t make a sequel unless the director of the original film has an idea that they like and are willing to go forward on,” Jim Morris told EW. “A sequel in some regards is even harder [than the original] because you’ve got this defined world which, on the one hand, is a leg up, and on the other hand has expectations that you can’t disappoint on.”

Well a sequel is supposedly in the works and only one cast member is confirmed to return as of now, according to Puck News.
