Rachel Brosnahan is paying tribute to her late aunt.
On Saturday (June 5), the 30-year-old Marvelous Mrs. Maisel actress took to Instagram to honor her aunt, fashion designer Kate Spade, on the third anniversary of her death.

David Spade is opening up about the death of his sister-in-law Kate Spade, who died by suicide in June 2018.
The 55-year-old actor thinks that the fashion designer wouldn’t have done it if she had another five minutes of life.
“I feel like Katy wouldn’t have done it, five minutes later. But these things happen and there’s no going back,” David said in a new interview with the New York Times.
“Katy was so funny,” he said. “I don’t know if agoraphobic is the word, but she didn’t like to mingle a lot; she’d have people at her house and she was always so funny.”

The Spring 2019 campaign, which was shot by Maggie Cepis, pays tribute to Kate and features handbags, shoes and jewelry.
“I don’t believe the search for ways to commemorate, to honor and to keep someone you love’s memory alive ever ends, but I’m so grateful for this collaboration with @fvalentineny. Spring was Katy’s favorite season. This collection is a celebration of her life, her spirit, her legacy and her love of a good color pop (or six). She was a force of nature and a heck of a good time,” Rachel wrote on her Instagram.

Kate Spade New York, the brand founded by the late Kate Spade, has announced a donation to help suicide prevention and mental health awareness causes.
“in honor of our company founder, Kate Spade, our foundation is donating over $1 million to suicide prevention and mental health awareness causes, starting with $250,000 to the @crisistextline. From june 20 through june 29, 2018, the Kate Spade New York foundation will also match public donations made to the crisis text line, up to the amount of $100,000. to make your donation, please go to crisistextline.org/katespadeny. thank you for your generosity and support,” the brand announced on Instagram.
Kate tragically passed away from suicide at the age of 55 earlier this month. Our continued thoughts are with her loved ones.
David Spade is using his platform to raise awareness for an important cause.
The 53-year-old actor and comedian donated $100,000 to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), People reported on Thursday (June 13).

The donation comes after his sister-in-law Kate Spade‘s tragic death due to suicide.
“More people suffer from mental health issues than we may realize but no one should ever feel ashamed to reach out for support,” David said in a statement.

Jada Pinkett Smith is opening up about mental health and making the brave reveal that she had, at one time in her life, had suicidal thoughts “often.”
The 46-year-old actress revealed on her Instagram account in a tribute to Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade, who both died from suicide last week.
“With the suicides of Kate and Anthony it brought up feelings of when I was in such despair and had considered the same demise…often. In the years I spent towards my healing, many moons ago, I realized the mind and heart can be extremely delicate without the foundation of a formidable spirit. What I eat, what I watch on TV, what music I listen to, how I care for my body, my spiritual practice, what people I surround myself with, the amount of stress I allow and so on… either contribute to or deteriorate my mental health. Mental health is a daily practice for me. It’s a practice of deep self-love,” Jada wrote. “May Kate and Anthony Rest In Peace. Many may not understand… but I do, and this morning I have the deepest gratitude that I pulled through.”
