Two spinoff series at ABC have met their fate on the network.
The Rookie: Feds and The Good Lawyer were both first introduced on their respective flagship shows, The Rookie and The Good Doctor.
While Feds aired one season so far, The Good Lawyer only had a backdoor pilot and was not yet picked up to series, and now we know whether or not ABC will continue with the spinoffs.

ABC has released a trailer for the next episode of The Good Doctor, airing March 13, which is an embedded pilot episode for potential spinoff The Good Lawyer.
Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) seeks legal representation to help him win a case and puts his faith in a promising, young lawyer who has obsessive compulsive disorder.
The episode guest stars Nancy Drew star Kennedy McMann as Jodi DeGroot, the brilliant, funny and self-aware lawyer who is relatively new to her prestigious law firm when she takes Shaun’s case.
Felicity Huffman (American Crime) stars as as Janet Stewart, a highly regarded attorney and partner at the law firm with a fierce intellect and dry wit.
Joni’s compassionate, practical slightly older sister is played by Bethlehem Million. She is a voice of reason and is Joni’s biggest cheerleader, roommate and best friend.
The episode is written by co-showrunners David Shore and Liz Friedman, and directed by Ruben Fleischer.
The Good Doctor premiered in 2017 and is currently in its sixth season.
In 2021, Freddie Highmore revealed he got married and talked about his wife and married life.
The Good Doctor is getting its own spinoff.
The show, which is currently in Season 6, returns with new episodes on Monday, January 23, and there’s going to be a lead-in to the upcoming ABC spinoff, called The Good Lawyer, airing in March.
A backdoor pilot will air Monday, March 6 at 10 p.m. ET. In the episode, Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) “seeks legal representation to help him win a case and puts his faith in a promising, young lawyer who has obsessive compulsive disorder,” via TVLine.

The two Katy Keene stars joined their CW channel mate, Nancy Drew star Kennedy McMann and Stranger Things‘ Caleb McLaughlin at the event.

Batwoman and Nancy Drew are here to stay on The CW!
The network has given full-season pickups to both of the freshman series. Each of the shows were given an initial 13 episodes and now they’ll be getting an additional nine episodes for a full season of 22 episodes.
This is the first year that The CW owns full in-season streaming rights to all of their new shows, so all episodes are available to watch for free on the network’s website and app just one day after they air on TV.
Ruby Rose stars as Kate Kane in Batwoman while Kennedy McMann plays the titular character in Nancy Drew.

The new show will debut in the fall on The CW and it’s a spinoff of the Riverdale franchise.
The cast of the new series Nancy Drew – Kennedy McMann, Alex Saxon, Maddison Jaizani, Leah Lewis, Tunji Kasim – were also in attendance!
