It has been exactly five years since Julie Chen Moonves left her hosting gig on The Talk and now she’s sharing the real story behind what happened.

The 53-year-old television personality and Big Brother host was one of the original co-hosts of the CBS daytime talk show, but she left the series in September 2018 after her husband Les Moonves was accused of sexual assault and violence.

At the time, Les was the CEO of CBS and he left his position after the allegations went public.

When Julie announced her departure from The Talk, she made it seem like it was her decision as she felt she needed to “spend more time at home with my husband and our young son.” Well, now she’s telling a different story.

LL Cool J, Lionel Richie and Gloria Estefan were just honored in a major way!

The three stars, including American dancer and choreographer Carmen de Lavallade and American television writer and producer Norman Lear, were all recipients of the annual Kennedy Center Honors on Saturday (December 2) in Washington, D.C.

Attendees at the Kennedy Center Artist’s Dinner hosted by United States Secretary of State Rex Tillerson included Kenneth “Babyface” and Nicole Edmonds, Julie Chen and Les Moonves, Eva Longoria and Anthony Anderson.

Katie Couric walks down the red carpet at the 2015 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 4) in New York City.

The veteran journalist was joined at the event by Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer, who was one of the co-chairs at the gala. In case you didn’t know, Katie is a contributor for the media outlet.

Also in attendance at the event were The Talk co-host Julie Chen with her husband, CBS boss Les Moonves, as well as former NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg and his wife Georgina.

Elementary stars Lucy Liu and Jonny Lee Miller hit the carpet at the 2013 CBS Upfront Presentation held at the Tents at Lincoln Center on Wednesday (May 15) in New York City.

Earlier in the day, the 44-year-old actress sat down with the ladies of The Talk to chat about her hit series, which was renewed for a second season.

Also in attendance at the upfront event were The Talk ladies Julie Chen (with husband and CBS boss Les Moonves), Sharon Osbourne, Aisha Tyler, Sara Gilbert and Sheryl Underwood. The gals are in the Big Apple doing a special week of shows in New York! Catch it at 2pm on CBS.

The stars of the new show Hostages – Dylan McDermott and Toni Collette – were on hand, as was the cast of Intelligence – Josh Holloway, Marg Helgenberger, and Meghan Ory. Finally, NCIS: Los Angeles stars LL Cool J and Chris O’Donnell were also at the event.
