The film was axed from the HBO Max release schedule in the summer of 2022.

Now, in a candid interview with Variety, Leslie is talking about how she found out about the film’s cancellation, her reaction to the news, and responding to claims that the film was not releasable. She also spoke about if the new DC heads have reached out, and if she’d revive her role in Robert Pattinson‘s Batman universe.

Leslie Grace is breaking her silence just a day after it was announced that Batgirl would not be released.

The 27-year-old actress was cast in the leading role last year, and spent the past several months shooting the movie in Scotland.

According to Variety, Batgirl will not premiere on HBO Max, or any platform at the studio, nor will it hit theaters.

Leslie Grace and Jacob Scipio are hard at work filming the new HBO Max movie Batgirl and we have all the photos of them on set!

The 27-year-old actress and the Bad Boys for Life actor were seen arriving on set on Tuesday (January 18) in Glasgow, Scotland.

They were joined by fellow cast member Ivory Aquino.

While specific plot details for Batgirl haven’t been revealed yet, it’s set to focus on Barbara Gordon, the daughter of Gotham police commissioner Jim Gordon, played by J.K. Simmons. It’s believed Michael Keaton will be reprising his role as Batman in the film.

Leslie was spotted on set a day earlier and she was also seen filming scenes with a handsome co-star last week! The actress recently gave fans a first look at her costume for the movie, which you can check out here.

Leslie Grace is currently filming the upcoming HBO Max movie Batgirl and we have more photos from set!

The 27-year-old actress was spotted all bundled up while filming around Parnie Street on Monday (January 17) in Glasgow, Scotland.

Leslie was also seen with a handsome co-star while filming scenes a few days earlier!

Hopefully we’ll be getting some set photos of Leslie in her Batgirl suit soon because she has already shared the first look of the costume on Instagram.
