Elliot Page is opening up about the secret relationship that he had with Kate Mara, who was dating Max Minghella at the time.
The 36-year-old Oscar-nominated actor opened up about the relationship in his new book Pageboy, which is being released next week.
“The first person I fell for after my heart was broken was Kate Mara. She had a boyfriend at the time, the lovely and talented Max Minghella,” he wrote in the book (via an excerpt shared by People).

The 24-year-old The Great actress confirmed the news in a profile with Harper’s Bazaar UK.
“She is currently single, having recently come out of a long-term relationship with the actor Max Minghella,” the article confirms.
“I’d love to play Grace Kelly in something. And to have kids. But I’m a hopeless romantic. I believe in love at first sight. Call me crazy, but I believe in those things. I feel that it’s my destiny,” she said of her future in the story.
If you don’t know, Elle and Max were first linked over five years ago when photos emerged of them together in 2018. Elle and Max met while filming his movie, Teen Spirit, which he wrote and directed and she starred in as well.

The longtime couple stepped out for the premiere of Max‘s new movie Babylon on Thursday (December 15) at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.
Elle, 24, and Max, 37, have been dating since 2018 after meeting on the set of the movie Teen Spirit, which she starred in and he directed. The only other time they ever walked a red carpet as a couple was at the 2019 Met Gala!

Can you believe the fifth season of The Handmaid’s Tale is about to end?!
Elisabeth Moss and Yvonne Strahovski joined the cast at a season finale event on Monday night (November 7) at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles.
Also in attendance were O-T Fagbenle, Max Minghella, Sam Jaeger, Ever Carradine, and Mckenna Grace, as well as executive producers Bruce Miller and Warren Littlefield.
The hit Hulu series will be ending after the upcoming sixth and final season, which was announced just before the fifth season premiered on the streaming service.
While at the event, Elisabeth told People that “it’s horrifying” how the show has become more relevant since it debuted in 2017. “It’s awful. It’s way more than troubling,” she added.
