Alex Edelman‘s Broadway hit Just For Us is now playing in Los Angeles and he celebrated with a star-studded opening event over the weekend!

The 34-year-old rising star was joined by celeb pals at the opening night celebration on Saturday (November 11) at the Mark Taper Forum in downtown Los Angeles.

In attendance were Alden Ehrenreich, Lily Rabe and Hamish Linklater, Natalie Morales, Nia Vardalos, Bradley Whitford and Amy Landecker, and former NCIS: Los Angeles co-stars Barrett Foa and Daniela Ruah, among others.

Just For Us is written and performed by Edelman. In the wake of a string of anti-Semitic rhetoric pointed in his direction online, standup comic Edelman decides to go straight to the source; specifically, Queens, where he covertly attends a meeting of White Nationalists and comes face-to-face with the people behind the keyboards.

The play is running through November 26.

Lots of stars were in attendance at the 2022 Hollywood Critics Association Film Awards on Monday (February 28) at Avalon in Hollywood.

Ariana DeBose hit the stage during the event to accept the award for Best Supporting Actress for her work in West Side Story. Her co-star Brian d’Arcy James was in attendance as well.

Presenters at the event included Dopesick actress Kaitlyn Dever, Nightmare Alley‘s Ron Perlman, Uncharted‘s Sophia Ali, The Umbrella Academy‘s Emmy Raver-Lampman, and Cha Cha Real Smooth actor Cooper Raiff.

Encanto star Stephanie Beatriz was there to accept her award for Best Animated or VSX Performance.

Nicolas Cage received the Acting Achievement Award, which was presented to him by Pig co-star Alex Wolff.

Javier Bardem was there to receive his International Icon Award. Natalie Morales received the Filmmaker on the Rise award.

King Richard‘s Aunjanue Ellis and her on-screen daughters Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton all attended. Aunjanue received the Inspire Award, which Demi presented to her. Saniyya was honored with the Star on the Rise award, which was presented by the film’s director.

Lots of rising stars were in attendance at the 2021 Gotham Awards!

Suzanna Son and Rachel Sennott both hit the red carpet at the event on Monday night (November 29) at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

The young actresses were nominated for the Breakthrough Performer Award for their work in Red Rocket and Shiva Baby, respectively. Also pictured in the gallery are nominees Natalie Morales for Language Lessons and Amalia Ulman for El Planeta. The award was won by the fifth actress in the category!

Also in attendance were Outstanding Lead Performance nominees Simon Rex for Red Rocket, Frankie Faison for The Killing of Kenneth Chamberlain, and Brittany S. Hall for Test Pattern. Frankie won the award in a tie with Olivia Colman, who was not in attendance.

Some legends at the event included Mark Ruffalo, director Jane Campion, Helen Hunt (with Blindspotting co-stars Jaylen Barron and Jasmine Cephas Jones), and Jennifer Coolidge, who was up for Outstanding Performance in a New Series for The White Lotus.

Rachel was joined on the red carpet by Shiva Baby director Emma Seligman.

Natalie Morales, best known for her work on the television shows Parks and Recreation and The Grinder, has come out as queer.

The 32-year-old actress opened up about her life in an article on Amy Poehler‘s Smart Girls website.

Natalie talked about coming to terms with her sexuality as a teenager and her first relationship with a girl in high school, which she hid from everyone including her mother. She also talked about her experience going to a lesbian club and the relationships she has been in over the years that have helped her open up to herself.

“I don’t like labeling myself, or anyone else, but if it’s easier for you to understand me, what I’m saying is that I’m queer. What queer means to me is just simply that I’m not straight. That’s all. It’s not scary, even though that word used to be really, really scary to me,” Natalie said.

“I think it’s important that I tell you that this familiar face you see on your TV is the Q part of LGBTQ, so that if you didn’t know someone who was queer before, you do now. I also think it’s important that if there are any scared kids out there, like I was, I can tell you that whole ‘It Gets Better’ campaign is true. It does. And you’re not weird. You’re not bad. You’re not unholy. You’re exactly what God intended you to be,” she added.

Brie Larson is all smiles while walking the red carpet at the premiere of her film Free Fire on Thursday (April 13) at the ArcLight in Hollywood.

The 27-year-old Oscar-winning actress was joined at the event by co-stars Armie Hammer, Sharlto Copley, Sam Riley, and Enzo Cilenti.

The film is set to be released on April 21 and it centers on a meeting in a deserted warehouse between two gangs that turns into a shootout and a game of survival. The movie had its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last year and has played many festivals since then.

I made a movie in Budapest, Bladerunner, and it was a lot of makeup and big transformation. [For] another movie in Japan I had tattoos everywhere – all over my body, my whole body – it was crazy. Eight hours in makeup.”
