Michael Buble on Son's Battle with Cancer: 'I've Been to Hell'

Michael Buble is painfully talking about his son Noah, 4, and his cancer battle (he reportedly finished treatments last year).

“I’ve been to hell. I don’t talk about the whole story, not even to my friends because it hurts too much. It’s my boy. He’s a superhero, he doesn’t need to relive it over and again. But I’ve been to hell. And you know what, hell seems like a really nice place to vacation compared to where we’ve been,” Michael told the Herald Sun. “I truly thought I’d never come back to music. Family is what matters. The health of my children is No.1. The relationship with my family, my wife, my faith — all of it is easily No. 1.”

“It’s cancer so obviously we have to monitor it but I wouldn’t be [getting back into the spotlight] if he wasn’t okay,” Michael said about Noah‘s cancer treatments, which reportedly ended last year.

“Perspective has allowed me to rekindle my love of music. When I went through Noah’s cancer from the first moment there was a snap. I remember sitting in the hospital room thinking, ‘I was worried about any of that s–t? I was worried about record sales or a meme or what some a–hole said about me?’ In a second it had gotten so clear,” he added.

Michael and his wife Luisana are expecting a baby girl, who is due in a few weeks.

Michael Buble's Wife Luisana Explains How They Kept Strong During Son Noah's Cancer Diagnosis

Michael Buble‘s wife Luisana Lopilato is speaking out about her son Noah, 3, and his cancer diagnosis.

The 30-year-old actress spoke about her son in an interview, saying he came down with an illness while she was filming in Argentina.

“After they did the ultrasound, they told me they found something in his belly,” she said. “They didn’t know what it was yet, or if it was a tumor, but that day I decided to take a flight [to the United States].”

Luisana and Michael had agreed if anything ever happened to one of their kids, they would fly to Los Angeles to receive care since it’s halfway between his family in Canada and hers in Argentina. Unfortunately, when doctors in Argentina found something in Noah’s belly in Argentina, Luisana could not get a hold of her husband because he was doing press work. She flew to Los Angeles with her kids to see another doctor.

“It was all from God – I don’t know how to explain it,” Luisana explained. “If we hadn’t done that ultrasound to find out if he had mononucleosis … it would have been so much worse….We did all the tests, and finally, we found out that it was what it was. These things, when they happen to you in life, they make you realize that the most important thing isn’t what you thought it was – it’s to have faith, to be strong.”

“There were nights I couldn’t sleep, that I prayed to God,” she continued. “Because it is a long process – but thank God the worst is over.”

“For any parent, it’s devastating to receive news like this. It was very heavy. We received all the prayers, all the calls. The only thing that got me through it was faith, from the very beginning,” she concluded.

“#tothemoonandback #familyfirst,” she added with hashtags in the caption. We’re glad to see Noah doing better with little bro Elias by his side!
