'King of the Hill' Revival Series Ordered by Hulu; 7 Returning Actors Confirmed, 1 Left Off Cast List

Hulu has announced that a revival of the animated series King of the Hill will be coming to the streaming service.

The original series ran on Fox for 13 seasons from 1997 through 2009. The original co-creators, Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, are returning to create the new revival series alongside incoming executive producer and showrunner Saladin Patterson.

Hulu has announced which cast members from the original series will be back and there’s one name that appears to be missing from the list. Another original actor passed away and it’s unclear if the role will be recast.

The show, set in the fictional Arlen, Texas, followed the life of Hank Hill, an enthusiastic seller of propane and propane accessories; his wife, Peggy, local Boggle champ and substitute teacher; and their 13-year-old son, Bobby, who defies any expectation his father had for a son. Hank’s friends – conspiracy theorist Dale, military barber Bill and cool but inarticulate Boomhauer, along with Peggy’s friends Minh and meteorologist Nancy, and Bobby’s friend Connie help the Hills navigate a changing world.

Pete Davidson Drops New Trailer for 'The King of Staten Island,' His New Movie Going to VOD!

Pete Davidson was going to make his big-screen starring debut in the movie The King of Staten Island, but the movie is going to VOD instead now due to movie theaters being shut down for the indefinite future.

The new comedy was written and directed by Judd Apatow and is a semi-autobiographical take on Pete’s life.

Here’s the synopsis: Scott (Davidson) has been a case of arrested development ever since his firefighter father died when he was seven. He’s now reached his mid-20s having achieved little, chasing a dream of becoming a tattoo artist that seems far out of reach. As his ambitious younger sister (Maude Apatow) heads off to college, Scott is still living with his exhausted ER nurse mother (Marisa Tomei) and spends his days smoking weed, hanging with the guys—Oscar (Ricky Velez), Igor (Moises Arias) and Richie (Lou Wilson)—and secretly hooking up with his childhood friend Kelsey (Bel Powley). But when his mother starts dating a loudmouth firefighter named Ray (Bill Burr), it sets off a chain of events that will force Scott to grapple with his grief and take his first tentative steps toward moving forward in life.

Steve Buscemi also stars in the movie as Papa, a veteran firefighter who takes Scott under his wing, and Pamela Adlon as Ray’s ex-wife, Gina.

The King of Staten Island is heading to VOD on June 12.

Sophia Bush & Pamela Adlon Join 'This Is Us' as Season 4 Guest Stars!

Sophia Bush and Pamela Adlon are joining the cast of the hit NBC series This Is Us as guest stars for season four!

The show’s creator Dan Fogelman revealed the news on Saturday morning (January 11) during an NBC panel at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.

While Dan wouldn’t say anything about Sophia‘s character, he did say that Pamela‘s character will be part of Sterling K. Brown‘s Randall storyline.

“A little bit later in the season, involved in Sterling‘s very intense storyline that I can’t speak about, Pam Adlon is going to be doing [a role]… I can’t say what she plays because it’s a spoiler for Sterling‘s story,” he said (via TV Guide). “But Sterling has an unbelievable arc in the back half of the season, and she plays a very important — limited but important role in his story.”

This Is Us returns for the second half of season four on Tuesday, January 14 at 9/8c on NBC.
