Next 'Wheel of Fortune' Host: Four Frontrunners Revealed for Pat Sajak's Job

Pat Sajak has announced that he is leaving Wheel of Fortune at the end of the next season and all eyes have been on who his replacement might be.

It’s been less than 24 hours since the announcement, but there are already four frontrunners for the job.

If you take an educated guess, you can probably figure out two of those frontrunners, but the other two are stars who you likely won’t guess right away. One of them has already put her name in the hat for the job!

Pat Sajak Announces His Retirement From 'Wheel of Fortune'

Pat Sajak is stepping back from hosting Wheel of Fortune and will retire as the host.

In a statement, via THR, the 76-year-old game show host revealed his plans for the upcoming season, and they don’t include watching a wheel spinning around.

“Well, the time has come. I’ve decided that our 41st season, which begins in September, will be my last,” Pat shared in a statement.

He added, “It’s been a wonderful ride, and I’ll have more to say in the coming months. Many thanks to you all. (If nothing else, it’ll keep the clickbait sites busy!)”

Pat first hinted at his retirement from the show late last year.

“Years go by fast. We’re getting near the end. It’s been a long [time]. We’re not gonna do this for another 40 years. The end is near,” Pat said at the time. “… It’s an honor to have been in people’s living rooms for that long. People were out there welcoming us. We’re happy and proud.”

Vanna White looks the same as she did 40 years ago.

The 65-year-old Wheel of Fortune co-host celebrated her 40th anniversary on the show with her co-host Pat Sajak.

“Folks, it was 40 years ago on this very date that this young lady walked into the studio trembling and did her first Wheel of Fortune, Pat said. “And here she is.”
