Taylour Paige & Riley Keough Enjoy a Girls' Night Out at 'Zola' Screening

A special Girls’ Night Out event was held on Thursday night (June 10) to celebrate the upcoming release of the movie Zola!

Taylour Paige and Riley Keough hit the red carpet at the early screening held at NeueHouse in Los Angeles.

The co-stars were joined at the event by the real Zola King, co-star Ts Madison, director and co-writer Janicza Bravo, and co-writer Jeremy O. Harris.

Zola is based on the viral Twitter thread that started with the tweet, “Y’all wanna hear a story about why me & this bitch here fell out? It’s kind of long but full of suspense.”

Here is the synopsis: Zola (Paige), a Detroit waitress, strikes up a new friendship with a customer, Stefani (Keough), who seduces her to join a weekend of dancing and partying in Florida. What at first seems like a glamorous trip full of “hoeism” rapidly transforms into a 48-hour journey involving a nameless pimp, an idiot boyfriend, some Tampa gangsters and other unexpected adventures in this wild, see-it-to-believe-it tale.

The movie hits theaters nationwide on June 30. Watch the trailer now!

FYI: Taylour is wearing a Christopher Esber dress. Riley is wearing a Paris Georgia look.

'Zola,' Movie Based on a Viral Twitter Thread, Gets a Trailer - Watch!

Zola is coming!

The film, which was inspired by a viral Twitter thread in 2015, released its first trailer on Wednesday (March 31).

The movie is set to hit theaters on June 30, and was directed by Janicza Bravo and co-written with Jeremy O. Harris.

Here’s a plot summary: “The film centers on the dynamic between the title character, played by newcomer Taylor Paige, and Stefani (Riley Keough). It is based on a 2015 Twitter thread that took the internet by storm despite being only 148 words long. The tweets were by A’ziah King, who was then a 20-year-old Hooters waitress. She wrote about her chance encounter with a stripper and the resulting two-day Florida road-trip bacchanal involving prostitution, murder and a violent pimp known simply as Z.”

The film also stars Nicholas Braun, Ari’el Stachel and Colman Domingo.

Zola had its world premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival.

Taylour also starred in another recent film that is getting a lot of acclaim.

Riley Keough Reveals She's Now a Death Doula Months After Brother Benjamin's Suicide

Riley Keough has a new job title: death doula.

The 31-year-old actress opened up about her training on social media to fans.

“I guess I’m an almost certified death doula now hehe💫💫✨✨✨✨ And I just felt like writing such a deep thank you to this community who are teaching and training people in conscious dying and death work,” she wrote.

Riley continued, “We are taught that it’s a morbid subject to talk about, or we’re so afraid of it that we’re unable to talk about it…then of course it happens to us, and we are very ill-prepared. I think it’s so important to be educated on conscious dying and death the way we educate ourselves on birth and conscious birthing.”

“We prepare ourselves so rigorously for the entrance and have no preparation for our exit. So I’m so grateful for this community and to be able to contribute what I can.”

Riley started her death doula training shortly after losing her younger brother, Benjamin Keough, to suicide in July 2020.

“Mornings are the hardest. I forget you’re gone. I can’t cry because of the fear that I will never stop. A pain that’s new to me,” she had written just after news broke that Benjamin had died.

Benjamin was laid to rest at Graceland near his grandfather, Elvis Presley, in October.

Riley Keough Joins Chris Pratt in Amazon Series 'The Terminal List'

Riley Keough is the latest star to join The Terminal List!

The 31-year-old actress has joined the cast of the forthcoming conspiracy-thriller series based on the best-selling novel of the same name, per Deadline.

The Terminal List, which also stars Chris Pratt, Constance Wu, Taylor Kitsch, and Jeanne Tripplehorn, will debut on Amazon Prime Video.

Reece returns home to his family with conflicting memories of the event and questions about his culpability. However, as new evidence comes to light, Reece discovers dark forces working against him, endangering not only his life but the lives of those he loves.”

Riley will play Lauren Reece, “an elite triathlete and a warrior in her own right. Lauren has balanced her career with raising their daughter Lucy and providing vital support to other platoon families when her husband James (Pratt) and his SEAL Troop are deployed. While the majority of SEAL marriages fall apart, Lauren and James have made it through on honesty, mental toughness, and undying love.”
