'Aquaman 2' & 'Shazam! 2' Release Dates Pushed Back

Aquaman and Shazam! fans will need to wait a bit longer to see the highly anticipated sequels.

The James Wan-directed Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was originally set to be released on March 17, 2023.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods was set to be released in December of 2022.

The popular music app, which boasts 225 million global monthly users, turned 20 this week, surpassing 70 billion song recognitions.

Lucy Liu Makes Epic Entrance at 'Shazam' Panel During Comic-Con 2022

Lucy Liu holds up a prop from her movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods while making an epic entrance at the film’s panel at 2022 Comic-Con.

The actress was joined at the event by co-stars Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, and Jack Dylan Grazer, plus director David F. Sandberg, on Saturday morning (July 23) at the convention center’s Hall H in San Diego, Calif.

The trailer for the movie was unveiled during the panel and Lucy also opened up about playing Kalypso in the sequel.

“I enjoy playing a goddess, there is nothing like it. To be part of the DC world is the most important thing that has happened in my career. To be here now and woman of color and having this wonderful career that I’ve had, it was an honor to be part of something this special. It’s a universe we could all relate to because we all want to belong. It’s place where I feel like I’m home,” she said.

'Shazam 2' Trailer Debuts at Comic-Con, Includes 'Fast & Furious' Reference for Helen Mirren - Watch Now!

The trailer for Shazam! Fury of the Gods was released during a panel at 2022 Comic-Con and it’s an action-packed look at the upcoming DC Comics movie.

The movie continues the story of teenage Billy Batson (Asher Angel) who, upon reciting the magic word “SHAZAM!,” is transformed into his adult Super Hero alter ego, Shazam (Zachary Levi).

Helen Mirren, Lucy Liu, and Rachel Zegler all joined the cast for the sequel, which will hit theaters on December 21, 2022.

The trailer includes a moment when Zachary‘s character Shazam is talking to Helen‘s character and he brings up the Fast & Furious movies, which real-life Helen stars in. She plays Queenie in several of the movies!

'Wonka,' 'Shazam 2,' 'Aquaman 2,' & 'The Flash' Release Dates Changed

Warner Bros. has announced a major shuffling of release dates for their upcoming 2022/2023 film calendar.

Among the movies impacted are Timothee Chalamet‘s Wonka, Jason Momoa‘s Aquaman 2, Ezra Miller‘s The Flash, Zachary Levi‘s Shazam! Fury of the Gods, and more.

First Footage of Rachel Zegler in 'Shazam 2' Released During DC FanDome - Watch Now!

A new teaser for the upcoming movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods was released during the DC FanDome event and it includes the first footage of Rachel Zegler in action!

The 20-year-old actress, who makes her movie debut later this year in West Side Story, is featured alongside young star Jack Dylan Grazer in the behind-the-scenes look.

Featured in the new teaser for the upcoming movie, which will be released in 2023, was a look at new characters played by Rachel, Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu, as well as returning stars including Jack, Zachary Levi, Asher Angel, Grace Fulton, Ross Butler, Adam Brody, Meagan Good, DJ Cotrona and Djimon Hounsou.

While not much is known about the plot of the film, this first look offers an insight into the team visiting different places, like Athens, Greece and Philadelphia, Penn.

Rachel is also going to be seen in another huge movie that is in the works!
