'Sunset Boulevard' on Broadway With Nicole Scherzinger - Opening Date & Venue Revealed!

Jamie Lloyd’s London production of Sunset Boulevard starring Nicole Scherzinger now has an opening date for its Broadway run!

The show will open on Broadway this fall at the St. James Theatre, producers announced Monday (March 25), with previews starting on September 28 ahead of an October 20 opening night.

A London cast album will also be released this October!

Nicole Scherzinger Addresses Ageism in Hollywood, Says She Was Initially Offended By Her New Role

Nicole Scherzinger is opening up about her experience aging in Hollywood.

During a recent interview, the 45-year-old Pussycat Dolls hitmaker said that ageism in the industry was still a big problem.

She also revealed that she felt it when she she was first offered her newest role – starring in a West End production of Sunset Boulevard, which launched last month.

Glenn Close to Bring 'Sunset Boulevard' Musical to the Screen

Glenn Close‘s movie adaptation of the Broadway musical Sunset Boulevard is moving one step closer to reaching the big screen.

The film has found a director in Tony-winning choreographer Rob Ashford, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Glenn will be reprising her role as Norma Desmond, “a faded and deluded silent-screen star who ensnares a down-on-his-luck screenwriter into her fantasy of making a comeback.” She previously played the role in the original 1994 Broadway production and won a Tony Award. She later played the part again in the 2017 revival.

The movie is set to begin production in the fall.

Glenn Close is set to star in the upcoming movie adaptation of the musical Sunset Boulevard!

The legendary actress originated the role of Norma Desmond in the Broadway production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical.

Glenn won the Tony Award for her work in the show back in 1995 and then she reprised her role in the musical for the 2017 revival.

Now, TheWrap reports that Glenn will star in the movie version and Ryan Murphy has been approached to helm the film, though he is not locked in as of now.
