Everyone’s buzzing about Swarm, including one of the big stars of the show, Nirine S. Brown!

The hit Amazon Prime psychological thriller series has been making waves across the Internet in recent weeks, and Nirine is getting tons of praise for her role as Ni’Jah in the Donald Glover-directed series.

The born-and-raised Queens performer has been working since she was a kid, dancing in various performance art troupes, and going on to be a Rockette by the time she graduated high school.

Her breakout role was on Tyler Perry‘s Ruthless. She also appears as a dancer in Beyonce‘s Homecoming from the 2019 Coachella Music Festival!

She’s danced with stars like Shakira, Nicki Minaj and Janelle Monae, and performed on awards shows like the AMAs and the MTV VMAs.

We wanted Just Jared readers to get a chance to know Nirine even better, so we asked her to tell us 10 Fun Facts about herself.

1. I won a Spice Girls national commercial, and was chosen as Scary Spice!

2. I Swarmed over “Batman” from Immature (Marques Houston) when I was younger.

3. I love CANDY! Sour Patch straws and belts, Airheads, sour Skittles, Gummy Bears, Nerds, etc. I’m lowkey an addict.

4. I consider myself a flexitarian: a cross between vegetarian with the ability to enjoy animal products every so often.

5. I can’t leave the house without earrings. I even go to sleep with them on.

Chloe Bailey is speaking out in response to the backlash that her Swarm sex scene has received.

In the first episode of the new Prime Video series, directed by Donald Glover, she has an explicit scene with co-star Damson Idris, but she’s laughing off all of the criticism.

Chloe responded to the backlash in a new interview with ET Canada.

If you’re a fan of HBO’s Euphoria, chances are that you’re also loving Amazon Prime Video‘s Swarm, as the similarities between the two shows are definitely strong.

From the leading female characters to the friend group dynamics, the two series are creatively chaotic in the best (and worst) ways – and it works.

Swarm and Euphoria leads Dominque Fishback and Zendaya have both been praised for their work by critics, celebrities and fans, with people calling Dominque’s Andrea “Dre” Green “a one-woman act.” and praising Zendaya for playing Ruby “Rue” Bennett with “remarkable finesse.”

As of now, it is unconfirmed whether Swarm is getting a second season. However, if show creators Donald Glover and Janine Nabers are up for continuing the show, there are plenty of reasons why the show could continue for Season 2.

Swarm is the latest TV show to cause a stir on social media after it just started airing on Amazon’s Prime Video.

The show was co-created by Donald Glover and Janine Nabers and there have already been some memorable scenes on the air.

Scenes that went viral include a graphic sex scene between Damson Idris and Chloe Bailey, as well as a moment when Rory Culkin goes full frontal.

Billie Eilish‘s presence at the premiere of Donald Glover‘s Swarm makes so much more sense now that it was announced the singer is appearing in the new series.

The 21-year-old “Bad Guy” superstar confirmed her involvement on Thursday (March 16) by sharing a clip of herself in character on social media. This will be her first acting role to date!

Her name was added to the show’s page on IMDb alongside the character Eva, but we don’t know exactly who that is within the show just yet.

As the news broke, reports suggested that there are two roles that Eva might play in the series.

Donald Glover and Michelle White are making a rare public appearance together!

The longtime couple stepped out for the premiere of his new Prime Video series Swarm on Tuesday (March 14) held at Lighthouse Artspace LA in Los Angeles.

Donald created the show with Janine Nabers and he also directed the pilot episode. Malia Obama serves as one of the show’s writers!

Cast members in attendance included Chloe Bailey, Damson Idris, and Dominique Fishback.

Billie Eilish also attended the premiere!

The official trailer for the upcoming Prime Video series Swarm has arrived and it shows the murderous lengths an obsessed fan will go.

Dominique Fishback stars in the new series from showrunner Janine Nabers and Donald Glover, who directed the pilot episode. Malia Obama is one of the writers on the show!

Swarm, set between 2016-2018, follows Dre (Fishback), an obsessed fan of the world’s biggest pop star who sets off on an unexpected cross-country journey. The series will also feature guest stars Chloe Bailey as Dre’s sister, Marissa, and Damson Idris as Marissa’s boyfriend, Khalid. Additional guest stars include, Rickey Thompson, Paris Jackson, Rory Culkin, Kiersey Clemons, and Byron Bowers.

“Dre and Marissa are in their 20s and Malia is in her 20s, so it was really great having someone like her in the room,” Janine told VF. “She’s a very professional person. She’s an incredible writer and artist. We really wanted to give her the opportunity to get her feet wet in TV and see if this is something she wants to continue doing.”
