Tracie Thoms, Janel Parrish, & More Are Bringing 'Tarantino Live' Back to L.A.

For The Record’s Tarantino Live is coming back to Los Angeles this weekend with a brand new production!

Tarantino Live: Fox Force Five & The Tyranny of Evil Men combines Quentin Tarantino’s most iconic film scenes with live rock ‘n’ roll renditions of songs pulled straight from his legendary film albums.

Tracie Thoms, Janel Parrish, Lindsey Gort, and Zane Carney are among the stars who will appear in the production, which begins preview performances at The Bourbon Room in Hollywood this weekend. The official opening night is on August 11.

Tarantino Live follows the “Fox Force Five”—a group of fierce female superwomen popularized by Pulp Fiction—as they join forces to take care of business and fight the Tyranny of Evil Men with Tarantino’s quintessential soundtrack brought to the foreground. The show encompasses Tarantino’s entire cinematic universe brought to life, and for the first time includes his latest film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Tickets are available every Thursday – Sunday and range from $49 – $79. Patrons are encouraged to arrive early to take in the full Tarantino experience including pre-show themed cocktails and the Bourbon Room’s full-service dining menu.

Zane Carney Covers 'Silent Night' For Holiday Season

Rising musician-songwriter Zane Carney just released a moody, heartfelt cover of “Silent Night” like you’ve never seen before!

“I grew up going to midnight mass every year with my mother, brother (Reeve) and sister (Paris),” the guitarist virtuoso shared with Just Jared. “And I always connected with the very end of the service where we’d sing a candlelit version of Silent Night as a congregation. As a lifelong jazz guy, I thought it would be special to take a shot at improvising my favorite Christmas song this year.”

Zane is best known for his work on John Mayer‘s tour/album, Avril Lavigne, as well as his LA-based band CARNEY and U2‘s Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark on Broadway.

Evan Rachel Wood Sings 'Edelweiss,' Dedicates It to Her Son

Evan Rachel Wood sings a beautiful rendition of The Sound of Music‘s classic song “Edelweiss” in this new video and she also explained why she sang the tune.

“There’s been multiple times now, my son has woken up and found me in the living room, having watched the news all night, and I am quietly weeping,” the Westworld actress wrote on Twitter.

“It’s getting increasingly harder trying to explain to him why his mother is crying,” Evan said. “He doesn’t know hate. He hasn’t been taught it yet. He is pure and full of hope. So today when he found me, instead of telling him ‘our king is not a good man,’ which is all he can really comprehend at this point, I showed him The Sound of Music.”

“He clung to this song,” Evan said of the tune. “Although he can’t articulate why with words just yet, I saw in his eyes a deep understanding. He could feel the power in this piece of music and it gave me so much hope, more than he will ever know.”

“Which propelled me, a few hours later, finding myself on stage singing it with my dear friend and maybe one of the most talented people I know, Zane Carney, because he took a half serious text super seriously and I am very grateful we got to share the moment,” Evan added. “This one is for my son and for anyone who needs a reminder that there is good in the world. There are children and there is music. This song is about home. May you forever bloom and grow.”
