Ryan Lochte: Freestyle Qualifier!

Ryan Lochte keeps making us proud – he qualified for the 200 meter freestyle race at the 2012 Summer Olympics during the preliminary round on Sunday (July 29) at the Aquatics Centre in London, England.

The 27-year-old swimming star earned the USA’s first gold medal of the 2012 Games yesterday in the 400 meter individual medley race!

Ryan came in second in the qualifying round, finishing after China’s Sun Yang. He doesn’t sound too worried, though – “I didn’t get to bed until like 2 a.m. so I’m a little tired, but it was a prelims swim, so I’m not too worried about it,” he told a CBS reporter.

He’s soooooooo handsome. America can we keep him over here please?

But he failed his anchor lag for 4×100 relay !! Frenchies beat them ! He should have swam the Phelp’s spot, who I think is a strong finisher. Anyway, the last french guy is a sprinter. But, what a win ! Lochte needs to focus on the matches and spend less time on media circus.

@MR: Michael Phelps did SOOOO well in that. Ryan really did mess it up – they were so close to being first!!

Go Lochte…..

you guys are little too harsh on him. First of all, he must be super tired by now! I did competitive swimming and it’s not just one race. First, you have to qualify and then later that day you actually swim finals so he must be exhausted! Second of all, he’s not the one making a decision on who swims when, their coach does! Anyways, London will be his and on top of that he’s hot!

Good work man, congrats…

Yes, I will blame the coach. It should have been Phelps who swam the anchor leg !! If they win, Phelps is the greatest. If they loose, it’s obvious he’s not what he used to be. Phelps is definitely more eager to win since he didn’t medal the other day.

I want to lick him clean

He looks like an old man.

I think people should really stop comparing him to phelps. After all, they really are, not the same person. If he wins, good for him. If he doesn’t, well, its his loss.

How to capoeira

Great news,he is very talented .Wish him all the best.

Rooting for you Lochte! Keep making us proud!

He looks like a real man.

He’s one talented studly man. I want him to win as much as possible, but I won’t mind if he does not.

Frenchies beat them ! He should have swam the Phelp’s spot, who I think is a strong finisher. Anyway, the last french guy is a sprinter.
