Lil Nas X Created Second Twitter After Site Blocked Verified Accounts From Posting

Lil Nas X just had the need to tweet!

The 21-year-old “Old Town Road” made a second Twitter account on Wednesday (July 15) after the social media site blocked all verified accounts from posting.

Lil Nas X made a new account with the handle @NasMaraj79, where he tweeted about missing being able to tweet.

“THIS IS LIL NAS I CANT TWEET U GUYS PLEASE GIVE ME ATTENTION,” Lil Nas X first tweeted, before tweeting, “DONT SILENCE ME! @Twitter.”

Lil Nas X then got a little upset, tweeting, “what’s the point of life if i can’t tweet” along with a photo of a discarded animatronic Chuck E. Cheese in a junkyard.

After he was able to tweet from his verified account again, Lil Nas X decided to use the second account as his “straight alter ego lil hetero x.” He came out as gay last summer.

Earlier that day, accounts from Elon Musk, Kanye West, Joe Biden, and more were all hacked to promote a Bitcoin scam.

Twitter then blocked verified accounts from posting until the hack was under control.
