One was thrilled and thanked Elon, saying it was like Christmas and their birthday combined. Others wanted to make it very clear that they were not paying. Some even shared hacks on how to get rid of the checkmark. Another star even pointed out that it seemed particularly deceitful to imply that they were opting into the paid verification system.
