Roseanne Barr Reacts to 'The Conners' Spinoff Killing Her Off

Roseanne Barr is reacting to the death of her character revealed during The Conners premiere on Tuesday night (October 16).

After it was revealed during the show that matriarch Roseanne had died of an opioid overdose, the 65-year-old disgraced actress took to Twitter to acknowledge her character’s death.

“I AIN’T DEAD, BITCHES!!!!” Roseanne tweeted during the show.

Back in September, Roseanne said that the show would be killing her off, but ABC never commented on the show.

“It wasn’t enough to do what they did to me,” Roseanne said at the time. “They had to so cruelly insult the people who loved that family and that show.”

Roseanne was fired from her show’s reboot back in May after she made a racist comment about President Obama‘s former adviser Valerie Jarrett.

New episodes of The Conners air on Tuesday nights on ABC at 8pm ET.

Roseanne Killed Off on 'The Conners' Premiere - Here's How

The premiere episode of The Conners aired on Tuesday night (October 16) and Roseanne Barr‘s character’s death was revealed.

The episode began three weeks after Roseanne’s death. While the Conner family thought she died from a heart attack, the coroner’s office reveals she died from an opioid overdose.

During the season finale of Roseanne that aired in May, it seemed that Roseanne’s addiction to painkillers because of a knee injury had been resolved. That changed after real-life Roseanne made a racist tweet that led to her being fired.

Roseanne previously revealed that she was going to be killed off via a drug overdose and she felt the move was “cruel.”

“It wasn’t enough to do what they did to me,” she said in an interview last month. “They had to so cruelly insult the people who loved that family and that show.”

Roseanne Barr Says She's 'Probably' Going to Move to Israel

Roseanne Barr is making a move.

The 65-year-old actress and comedian, whose sitcom Roseanne was canceled due to her racist tweets, tells Rabbi Shmuley Boteach in a new podcast that she plans to move to Israel once the Roseanne spin-off, The Conners, airs.

“I have an opportunity to go to Israel for a few months and study with my favorite teachers over there, and that’s where I’m going to go and probably move somewhere there and study with my favorite teachers. I have saved a few pennies and I’m so lucky I can go…and study with any rabbi that I can ask to teach me, and it’s my great joy and privilege to be a Jewish woman,” she said.

“I’m not going to curse it or bless it,” she said of The Conners.

“I’m staying neutral. That’s what I do. I’m staying neutral. I’m staying away from it. Not wishing bad on anyone and I don’t wish good for my enemies. I don’t. I can’t. I just stay neutral. That’s what I gotta do. I have some mental health issues of depression and stuff. I got to stay in the middle or I’ll go dark, and I don’t want to go dark again. I’ve done it. After all, I was married to Tom Arnold. Ha ha,” she added.

She also revealed that she “went to Nashville and cut a record.”

“I’m singing and getting better. I’m not great, or even good, but I’m better,” she said.

She also says she’s working on a new sitcom: “I’m very excited. It’s very funny,” she explained.
