‘Rent’ Original Broadway Cast – Where Are They Now?
Fredi Walker – Joanne Jefferson
Fredi Walker originated the role of Joanne in the Broadway production of Rent. She says she was not asked to return for the film version due to her age.
Fredi had a recurring role on the Showtime series The Big C in 2012, but she has stayed out of the spotlight for the most part. She is currently a voice instructor.
