Sam Reid Cast as Lestat in AMC's Upcoming 'Interview with the Vampire' Series

Sam Reid has joined the cast of the new Interview with a Vampire series at AMC!

According to Deadline, the Australian actor is set to star as Lestat in the show, which is based on Anne Rice‘s novel of the same name.

The series is expected to begin production on its eight-episode first season some time later this year and will debut on AMC and its sister streamer AMC+ in 2022.

Tom Cruise famously portrayed Lestat in the 1994 adaptation of the book, with Brad Pitt playing Louis.

AMC ordered the show in June after acquiring the rights to 18 of Anne Rice‘s books. She will produce the series with her son, actor Christopher Rice, as well as writer and showrunner Rolin Jones.
