There’s a lot going on with Interview With the Vampire‘s cast ahead of season 2!

The AMC series, which is based on the book of the same name, aired its first season in 2022. It received tons of praise, scoring a 98% critic approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

As season 2 nears, we’ve rounded up all the latest casting news.

Interview With the Vampire season 2 will premiere on Sunday, May 12 on AMC and AMC+.

Jacob Anderson and Sam Reid have a handshake at the photo call for their new AMC+ series, Interview With The Vampire, held at IFC Center in New York City on Tuesday (September 27).

The two actors were joined by co-stars Kalyne Coleman and Bailey Bass and producer Mark Johnson.

The next day, Sam and Jacob were spotted at the 2022 AMC Networks Summit, where it was revealed that the show would be back for a second season – even before season one premiered!

“The scope and breadth of this show, and what Mark and Rolin have delivered, is just stupendous. They have rendered the rich and vibrant world of Anne Rice’s Interview in a wonderful way, and we’re incredibly proud. From the set build, to production design, costumes and more — no detail was overlooked. This stellar cast deliver powerful performances that emotionally connect us to these characters and their humanity,” Dan McDermott, president of original programming for AMC Networks and AMC Studios, said in a statement via Deadline.

He added, “We look forward to sharing the final product of this extraordinary effort with audiences in just a few short days and are thrilled that this story will continue. This is only the beginning of an entire Universe featuring enthralling stories and characters that capture the spirit of Anne Rice’s amazing work.”

The upcoming series will focus on Louis de Pointe du Lac (Anderson) as he tells his story of being turned by Lestat (Reid), and will premiere on October 2 at 19 p.m. on AMC.

Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson patrol the city of New Orleans in the first trailer for AMC’s Interview With a Vampire series.

The upcoming series will focus on Louis de Pointe du Lac (Anderson) as he tells his story of being turned by Lestat (Reid).

The series also stars Bailey Bass, Eric Bogosian and Assad Zaman.

Interview With A Vampire is set to premiere on October 2 at 19 p.m. on AMC, just after the debut of The Walking Dead‘s final batch of episodes.

The first two episodes of Interview With the Vampire will also be available on AMC+ that night.

According to Deadline, the Australian actor is set to star as Lestat in the show, which is based on Anne Rice‘s novel of the same name.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw meets up with her hunky co-star Sam Reid at the red carpet premiere of their new movie Belle on Thursday (June 5) at BFI Southbank in London, England.

Also in attendance were the film’s stars Tom Felton, Sarah Gadon, James Norton, and Miranda Richardson.

Belle is about an illegitimate mixed race daughter of a Royal Navy Admiral who is raised by her aristocratic great-uncle and ends up shaping the end of slavery in England. The film is now in theaters in the United States and will be released in the UK on June 13.

FYI: Gugu is wearing a Martin Grant playsuit and Christian Louboutin shoes. Tom, Sam, and James are all wearing Burberry tailoring.

Gugu Mbatha-Raw looks lovely in a black and white dress while hitting the red carpet at the 2014 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The 30-year-old actress was joined at the event by her Belle co-star Sam Reid.

“For me, I’ve never been before so it’s a really exciting opportunity to kind of explore the whole fashion world,” Gugu recently told E! News about attending the ball. “I am having a dress made for me and I’ve never had a couture dress made to measure�”so it’s sort of like a Cinderella fantasy coming true! With Belle coming out its just such great timing to celebrate, so I am just really excited to see everybody in their outfits and take in all the scenes.”

FYI: Gugu is wearing a Lanvin black & white abstract flower silk jacquard tea-length strapless dress, matching pumps with ankle strap, and black python oval clutch.
