Kanye West Will No Longer Be Acquiring Parler
Kanye West and social media app Parler have mutually agreed to terminate the intent of sale, the company announced on Thursday (December 1).
In October, Kanye announced he would be acquiring the conservative social media app.
“In response to numerous media inquiries, Parlement Technologies would like to confirm that the company has mutually agreed with Ye to terminate the intent of sale of Parler. This decision was made in the interest of both parties in mid-November,” the company said in a statement on Thursday (December 1).

“Parler will continue to pursue future opportunities for growth and the evolution of the platform for our vibrant community,” the company said later in a tweet.
Parler has attempted to position itself as a conservative alternative to Twitter, focusing on free speech.
Kanye wrote a bunch of tweets recently, including ones where he accused ex-wife Kim Kardashian of having affair, defended fashion brand Balenciaga amid their controversy, and spoke out against pornography. Elon Musk spoke out to clarify why Kanye West was suspended from Twitter after those tweets.
