Amber Riley Clarifies Previous Comments About Lea Michele Not Being Racist

Amber Riley was asked to address previous comments she made about Glee co-star Lea Michele.

If you forgot, Lea was accused of “traumatic microaggressions” against co-star Samantha Ware in 2020. The 36-year-old Funny Girl actress was dubbed racist by some as critics spoke out against her.

At the time, Amber denied that Lea was racist. She was asked about her statement during a recent interview.

During an interview with ZIWE, Amber was asked about her previous comments about Lea.

Amber first tried to dodge the question and said she was unaware of who she was speaking about. However, ZIWE had receipts.

“I think that she would probably say she doesn’t see race,” Amber said. “But as we discussed earlier, everyone does.”

Amber also denied that the song “Colorblind” was about her former co-worker with a laugh.
