Fox Boss Explains Why '9-1-1' Was Really Cancelled & Weighs In On Future Crossovers with '9-1-1: Lone Star'

Turns out, those won’t be happening anytime soon, and it’s not only because the shows will be on different networks. Fox is also more focused on their own lineup right now as well.

“Crossovers have always been really hard on the 9-1-1 franchise because they’re such ambitious schedules,” president of scripted programming for Fox Entertainment Michael Thorn said on the call. “We weren’t able to do it every year when both shows were on our network anyways.”
