9-1-1: Lone Star is currently in production in Los Angeles!

While the Fox drama is set in Austin, Tex., like many TV shows it is filmed in the California city.

A spinoff of 9-1-1, the series is returning for a fifth season, which was delayed due to the strikes in 2023, and the 12-episode season’s airing was pushed back to fall 2024.

9-1-1: Lone Star follows a sophisticated New York cop who, along with his son, re-locates to Austin, and must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in his own life.

9-1-1: Lone Star is coming back for another season on Fox!

The spinoff series received the exciting news in May 2023 amid the writer’s strike and right before the season four finale aired.

9-1-1: Lone Star follows a sophisticated New York cop who, along with his son, re-locates to Austin, and must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in his own life.

Now that the strikes are over, the new season has actually been pushed back, and won’t premiere until fall 2024 with 12 new episodes.

Just last month, fans were shocked to hear that Fox had officially cancelled 9-1-1, which had been the network’s most popular primetime television series for six seasons.

While the series was axed at Fox, ABC was quick to pick up the show, which starred Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Ryan Guzman, Rockmond Dunbar, and Kenneth Choi, quickly for their upcoming 2023-2024 fall lineup.

During a press conference call just ahead of the upfronts this week, Fox boss Rob Wade, opened up about the reasons the show was cancelled, and how crossovers with 9-1-1: Lone Star would work out.

Her character, Marjan, headed out on Capt. Strand’s (Rob Lowe) motorcycle at the end of Tuesday’s episode (February 21), leading fans to suspect she was leaving the Fox show for good.

Rob Lowe is looking hot in his firefighter uniform on the set of his new series 9-1-1: Lone Star!

The 55-year-old Wild Bill actor was spotted filming on Tuesday (November 19) in Los Angeles.

He was joined by his co-stars Ronen Rubinstein and Julian Works.

During the intense scene, Rob and his co-stars attended to a wrecked vehicle with its windshield smashed in, investigating the scene and tending to the victims.

In 9-1-1: Lone Star, a New York cop (Rob Lowe) relocates to Austin, Texas with his son, where he works to save people’s lives while trying to solve his own personal problems.
