Jonathan Majors' Assault Trial Postponed Until September

There’s been a big update regarding Jonathan Majors‘ upcoming trial.

On Thursday (August 3), Variety reported that the 33-year-old actor’s assault trial has been delayed, with a new date scheduled for September.

According to the outlet, Jonathan arrived in court on Thursday for what was supposed to be the start of the trial. However, prosecution said it was not ready because they are still in the process of obtaining discovery.

Jonathan entered the courtroom holding hands with his girlfriend Meagan Good while holding a bible and a notebook. His defense lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, claimed that the prosecutors were not “timely” in turning over evidence. The trial’s new start date is September 6.

In March, the actor was arrested in Manhattan and charged with accounts of assault and aggravated harassment following an alleged dispute with his then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. He pleaded not guilty to four charges and faces up to one year in jail if convicted.

Jonathan was also accused of inappropriate on-set behavior earlier this year.
