Ice Spice, George Lopez, Regina Hall & More Join Cast of ‘The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants’
New stars have joined the cast of the upcoming SpongeBob SquarePants movie!
Ice Spice, George Lopez, and Regina Hall have signed on for The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. Ice Spice is set to contribute an original song for the movie.
Other actors who have joined the cast include Sherry Cola, and Arturo Castro. Voice actors Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy), Mr. Lawrence (Plankton) and Mark Hamill (Flying Dutchman) will be returning to the franchise.

The movie tells the story of “SpongeBob and [his] friends journeying to the depths of the ocean to face the ghost of the Flying Dutchman,” per The Hollywood Reporter.
The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants is being produced by Nickelodeon and Paramount Animation. It is set to release in December 2025.
Earlier this month, the trailer for an upcoming film adaptation of another hit Nickelodeon show dropped.
